R&D New Product Development Intern

Join us as a New Product Development Intern

🚀 Join us as a New Product Development Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in September 2025.

In this internship, you’ll work on your own research project focused on recipe development in black coffee and/or milk-based coffee products. You'll also support the team’s day-to-day activities, such as organizing tastings, new recipe development, and shelf-life analysis.

🔍 Your key activities will be:

• Experimentation & Optimization – Lead and conduct experiments in the lab or pilot plant
• Data Analysis – Analyze results, spot trends, and suggest innovative solutions
• Knowledge Capture – Help build knowledge by creating SOPs and best practices
• Presentation – Share your findings and present your final project

We’re looking for a curious, driven intern ready to make an impact in our Global R&D team. Could that be you?

👀 Here’s what we’re looking for:

🎓 Academic Background
You are enrolled in a Master’s program throughout the internship, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, or Food Technology.

🛠️ Skillset
You bring strong MS Office skills and fluent written & spoken English. Prior hands-on experience in food research is a big plus!

💬 Personal Traits
You’re structured, energetic, and proactive. You communicate well, work great in a team but also thrive independently.

📅 Availability & Commitment

• You're available from September 2025 to February 2026
• You can commit to 5 days per week, including 4 days on-site and 1 day remote, striking the right balance between teamwork and focus

🎓 Eligibility Criteria (make sure you tick these boxes):

• Your internship must be part of your study curriculum and contribute to your academic results
• Your university is willing to sign a collaboration agreement (and an NDA, if required)
• You are:
• ▪️ An EU/EEA student residing in the Netherlands during the internship, or
• ▪️ A non-EU/EEA student, enrolled and already living in the Netherlands
