Our Biomaterials Business Unit develops, produces, and supplies degradable polymers to the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Our materials are critical to applications such as resorbable orthopedic implants, excipients for long-acting pharmaceutical implants, or as bio-stimulating agents in aesthetic dermal fillers. With production facilities in Gorinchem, The Netherlands, and Tucker, GA, USA, we work closely with our customers to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions that meet the industry's most stringent demands.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales and Business Development Manager to help drive growth and strengthen our position in the biomedical materials sector. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker with a strong background in materials science and a proven track record in sales, forecasting, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute robust sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand market presence.
• Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, partnerships, and emerging markets.
• Forecasting & Analytics: Enhance forecasting and reporting processes to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build trusted, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed performance targets.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technological developments to inform business strategies.
• Digital Tools & Processes: Leverage Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Forms, etc.) to optimize sales workflows and communication.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years' experience in sales and business development, ideally within the biomedical materials or medical device industry.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
• Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and business development goals.
