The position requires meticulous attention to detail with the ability to foster strong relationships internally and externally with our production partners.

Your main tasks & responsibilities will be:

Pattern Management:

  • Lead the development of ensuring all pattern blocks are driving fit consistency through the ranges of Bras, swimwear and nightwear using Lectra digital pattern software.
  • Develop full grade sizes for wired cup bras with consistent grade rules for various product sizing and challenge current size grades while maintaining the brands fit integrity.
  • Create first patterns and specs from initial Design briefs and transform them into precise, well-fitting patterns for both sample development and production.
  • Ensure patterns are technically correct for manufacturing capabilities and fabric type with accurate seam allowances, drill holes, notches, and shrinkage.
  • Create and Maintain an organized block database of patterns for easy design reference and final production patterns loaded into PLM with full history of pattern revision comments
  • Ensure suppliers have accuracy in spec measurements and pattern specifications with every pattern created.
  • Consistently review fit feedback and make necessary improvements with key stakeholders
  • Create production embroidery templates to ensure Emb/lace placements are production ready and cost effective to Optimize fabric consumption and reduce waste.

Sampling and fitting:

  • Participate in fit sessions, offering solutions for construction and fit issues with a keen eye for pattern proportion and scale.
  • Collaborate with technical and design in fitting sessions to evaluate the fit samples and make necessary adjustments to ensure the pattern meets the desired brief and aesthetics
  • Work closely with technical to drive necessary adjustments to improve garment fit and function.
  • Record pattern amendments clearly with technical information and upload onto the PLM system maintaining the block pattern data base
  • Lead on continuously refining fit and optimising construction methods Providing expert guidance to cross-functional design and innovation teams, solving complex technical challenges related to performance, fit, and function
  • Provide pattern-related guidelines to the technical team and collaborate closely with them.
  • Ensure all products prior to fitting are correct to pattern and Measurement
  • Work closely with technical on initial product development ensuring fabric and trims are fit for purpose and physical wear testing is conducted through a risk based strategy

Critical path:

  • Work closely with the buying team and suppliers to ensure Critical path management is followed and suppliers are delivering samples at every stage of the fitting process and technical dates are running to plan

Testing:

  • Conduct fit wear test trials to minimise risk and troubleshoot sizing issues across all types of products to ensure the highest quality products.

Supplier communication:

  • Work with suppliers to ensure pattern blocks inventory system is in place and they are to delivering samples right first time
  • Pre- production pattern risk assessments are reviewed and actions followed.

Product development:

  • Present any relevant technical updates and innovation developments regards fit and sizing
  • Follow up fit customer feedback from all channels and communicate to the team.
  • Visit Stores and Customer facing teams and gain customer insight to improve product and share feedback with the teams.

You are our perfect candidate, if you have:

  • Proven expertise (minimum 2-3 years) in pattern cutting/Grading, Proficiency in Lectra Modaris.
  • Advanced proficiency in industrial sewing machines and bonding equipment, with a deep understanding of their applications.
  • Strong knowledge in cup wired bras and cross grading with a global lingerie brand or manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to work independently and strategically, prioritising tasks effectively while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional knowledge of intimates garment construction, pattern making, and fabric behaviour especially in lace and embroidery.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in pattern cutting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Expert-level skill in pattern cutting and garment fitting for bras and intimates, ensuring superior fit and functionalityGood knowledge of the English language (spoken & written)
  • Knowledge of MS-Office
  • Knowledge of PLM systems
