Mechatronics Internship: Contactless Air-Gap Measurement

Introduction

The Reticle Masking (ReMa) module is inside the optical path of the DUV machine containing various mechatronic challenges. The ReMa module works with blades on an air-bearing. The gap between the bearing and the blade is required to be accurate for optimal performance. As an intern, you will get the chance to study, process, and examine the tool to perform a contactless air-bearing performance qualification for critical parameters. The internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic HR environment.

Your Assignment

You will focus on the following key responsibilities:

  • Examine existing material with respect to sensor selection and provided data;
  • Model the expected blade behavior and propose qualification method;
  • Validate the model and integrate the tool;
  • Synchronize sensor data with motion.

This is a HBO or Master's (apprentice/graduation) internship for at least 6 months for minimum 4 days a week (2 days onsite). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.

Your Profile

To be a fit for this assignment, you:

  • Are a Master student in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or similar;
  • Have knowledge of Mechanical Design process;
  • Have affinity with C++ and Python;
  • Are outgoing, proactive, well-organized, stress resilient;
  • Have great communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Other Requirements You Need to Meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you’re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
