Mechatronics Designer at Philips

Job Description

As a Mechatronics designer you will work on developing and maintaining innovative medical products, as well as helping redefine our usage of models. This includes developing (parts and elements of) products, systems and/or solutions according to the V-model that serve user and business requirements amongst others by applying internal and external research results and technology advancements while taking care of the total system as well as inner workings of a design.

Your role:

  • Teaming up to bring our mechatronics development methods and technologies to the next level.
  • Designing, implementing and tuning the feedforward/feedback control loops for new and/or modified product configurations.
  • Performing Mechatronics integration and verification.
  • Analyzing and solving life-cycle management issues.
  • Collaborating with the product owner, to create the best overall mechatronics design solution.

You're the right fit if:

  • Masters degree in Mechatronics or Motion Control.
  • A Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechatronics designer.
  • Experience in modeling motion control /robotic system behavior; performing system identification with hands-on testing/measuring on the system.
  • Strong data analytical skills and quality mindset.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink (Python is a plus).
  • Fluency in English.

This position isn't open for relocation.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
