Your impact at MUFG

As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a pivotal role in aligning the company's technology strategy with its business objectives, including wider MUFG regional and global strategy and objectives. In close cooperation with European Systems Office (London), you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions that support the enterprise's strategic initiatives. Your role will be to ensure the cohesive integration of all IT infrastructure and services, optimizing the organization's efficiency and effectiveness.

Function positioning

Within MBE, the Systems Division supports IT structures with regard to IT applications, infrastructure and hardware. IT Planning team is one of the four units running under the Systems Division such as MDS, IT Services and IT Security. Enterprise Architect reports to the Head of IT Planning, who reports to Head of MBE Systems, who reports to the Managing Director MBE, responsible for Operations & Systems Divisions or in his/her absence the Management Board.

The role includes the following:

  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership to define the overarching enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Develop and implement technology standards and guidelines across the organization.
  • Align IT goals with the overall business strategy, ensuring technology investments are optimized.
  • Create and maintain architecture models and roadmaps for current and future state of technology systems.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technology solutions and platforms.
  • Endorse architecture principles and ensure the alignment of IT projects with these principles
  • Establish and enforce architectural governance and standards (Architecture Review Board).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular architecture reviews
  • Closely work together with Audit functions, Operational Risk Management, other IT functions inclusive of MBE Branches, EMEA & HQ and with the PMO, Corporate Planning and other business functions.
  • The execution of the function will be according to the policies of the MUFG group in collaboration with EMEA Head Office in London and Head Office in Tokyo.

The tasks described above, apply to all offices of MBE.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • 5 years of experience in IT with at least 3 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.
  • Deep knowledge of various technologies including cloud computing, data management, cybersecurity, and software development practices.
  • Experience in designing scalable, resilient, and secure IT systems.

Project Management:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.

Business Acumen:

  • Understanding of business processes, financial planning, and operational strategies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Innovative Thinking:

  • Aptitude for identifying new technology opportunities and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Ability to drive change and implement new technology initiatives effectively.
