Over the last years Mediq has grown fast organically and inorganically, driven by an aggressive M&A strategy. As the company continues to grow, Mediq seeks to create leverage of scale, skill and best practices in its commercial offering. Mediq is determined to build a Group Commercial Category Management function across the organization that drives high impact to the bottom line. With our European footprint, Mediq’s category management spans across all geographies with a representation in local teams. Mediq will strengthen category management for key categories on group level under the leadership of the recently appointed VP CatMan and MOB and is now building the Group Commercial Category Management team. What are you going to do?

• The role as senior product manager is to support the category director in driving the global category strategy across clusters and markets. Furthermore, he/she will be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of our Mediq Own Brands;
• You will be responsible for identifying sales and gross margin improvements of in his/her category across clusters. Furthermore he/she has to define steering opportunities;
• You owns and maintains the product hierarchy for his/her category, which mean approve new SKU’s for the countries, and lead SKU reduction. Furthermore he/she defines good-better-best assortment strategy and advice countries on the optimal marketing mix.
• The product development angle of the role adds to this responsibility in line with the medical device regulation (MDR) for which he/she will be fully supported by the QA/RA department;
• Key accountabilities; category strategy and innovation, assortment planning, new product development, Mediq own brand product management and product hierarchy definition. In this role you will be part of the global team and report directly to the Group Commercial Category Director.

What are we looking for:

• Master degree;
• >5 years of functionally relevant working experience;
• Deep knowledge of (category) products for use in the healthcare industry (knock-out); • Experience in healthcare industry;
• Experience in mid-size/large multinational company and working with a matrix organization;
• Expertise in supporting optimizing of category assortment for margin;
• Ability to develop a category strategy and drive business development;
• Knowledge of the full category management process and ability to adapt this process to pragmatically deliver challenging targets across the group;
• Strategic thinker, able to tackle complex issues and develop innovative solutions that result in winning partnerships.

And it would be great if you have:

• Strong analytical and conceptual/strategic skills;
• Structured, data driven approach and result orientation;
• Stakeholder management;
• Communication and change skills.
