You & your job

Your job focusses on extracting value from the customer and transaction data and convert it into generic FEC Data Products. Working together with a team of data engineers to create the FEC Data Layer. Your team is part of an area which helps to create data products for all FEC Business like Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions and Customer Due Diligence. All these responsibilities contribute to the decision-making process up to the highest level in the bank.

Therefore we help reducing criminal activities and can be regarded as the gatekeepers of the financial system. The FDL team is very collegial and results driven!

Scope

Data integration from GDP (F.E. datasource Pega WFM) and creation of FEC Data Products which will be used by all FEC Applications that consume data from GDP on a daily basis

You will be working on Data Ingestion and Data Product Pipelines. These pipelines will be built with Azure Data Factory with Data flow and some in some cases Databricks when there is complex data. Airflow and metadata API configuration is needed for consuming and publishing data from and on to the Global Data Platform (GDP).

You will also support in maintaining and monitoring the FEC Data Layer applications which publish data on to the GDP or provide data to customers via API's.

You & your talent

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in e.g. computer sciences
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer in a complex IT landscape
  • Experience in or affinity with software development in the financial sector, the payment sector in particular is preferable
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Very good communication and cooperation skills
  • Agile mindset and experience in working agile/scrum teams
  • Fluent in English
  • Experienced in working with, SQL and developing ETL solutions
  • Experienced in working with Azure data platform. For example ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Azure DevOps
  • Experienced in testing pipelines which are built on Azure with system and regression tests
  • Experienced with OPS work like monitoring and solving incidents
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data management is preferable
  • Knowledge of Python Spark is preferable
  • Knowledge of client and payments data is preferable
