Continuous Improvement Manager

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the Perfetti Performance Excellence (PPE) effort for the factories in the Netherlands to improve product efficiency and quality, productivity, safety performance and reduce waste. The purpose of this position is to drive and embed a continuous improvement mindset and efforts throughout the Perfetti van Melle BLX organisation, within Operations including Manufacturing, P&T and Supply Chain, towards a continuous improvement culture. The Continuous Improvement Manager recommends initiatives and drives the entire life-cycle of continuous improvements projects. This will result in implementing standards and optimization of opportunities through the PPE way of working. The Continuous Improvement Manager reports to the Operations Director. The activities are centred in the South of Holland and start at the Breda factory.

Your core tasks in a nutshell:

• Drive and lead the PPE for PVM BLX in coordination with selected consultancy partner(s). Clearly define the local PPE objectives, scope and deliverables;
• Recommend initiatives by collecting input from relevant stakeholders and functions and in accordance with the PPE guidelines and principles;
• Maintain the overview of the PPE initiatives portfolio and ensures co-ordination and prioritization on basis of the implementation plan with a strong focus on delivery and resources allocation;
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders/functions and ensure employee commitment for proactive change management and coaching of employees in working more efficient using TPM and Lean methods;
• Stimulate ongoing optimizing of manufacturing equipment by utilizing expertise to analyze, monitor, troubleshoot and debottleneck;
• Work closely on regularly basis with regional and global leaders to develop and share best practices on process integration & optimization to continuously improve the PPE;
• Benchmark trends and practices, review best practices and actively collect input from the operations community;
• Support and roll-out relevant trainings in cooperation with selected consultancy partner(s);
• Identify investments needs and recommend the budget and forecasts.

We are looking for:

• At least 5 years of experience of continuous improvement within in an international Manufacturing FMCG environment in a leadership role.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Industrial or Process Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.
• Specialized and in-depth experience in continuous improvement skills and knowledge such as TPM or Lean.
• Hands on mentality
• Continuous Improvement certification on Black-Belt level.
• Experience in set up of and leading project improvements teams.
• Good stakeholder management skills and strong communication skills.
• An independent influencer with a positive mindset to engage leadership teams, stakeholders and teams.
• Having analytical skills, problem-solving and ability to influence decision-making.
• Dutch & English speaker.
