Master Data Expert

The Master Data Expert handles the incoming requests for maintaining Finance/ABS Master Data including Creation, Change, Block/Unblock. Analyzes the requests and makes sure that the Master Data is maintained within the given policies, guidelines and timelines, striving for the highest quality standards. Additionally, the Master Data Expert is responsible to analyze issues during daily operations and identify improvements to the data quality or process. Master Data objects include Customers, Vendors, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, GL Accounts, Projects, Materials, Pricing.

The MD Expert is in close contact with stakeholders such as requestors, Global Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts and IT.

Key activities are:

• Handle incoming requests for new and changes to Master Data objects.
• Analyze and validate these requests against policies and guidelines
• Initiate and drive Master Data improvements and its related processes
• Support and guide the organization with advice on Master Data
• Act as liaison between the MDM team, (Global) Process Owners, Service Delivery Teams and Subject Matter Experts

Experience:

• 3-5 years relevant experience in Finance/Order Management/Procurement enhanced with involvement in a Master Data related role.

Additional qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Logistics Management
• Experience in working in an international, multinational environment
• Knowing SAP data models and data architecture principles (SAP ECC)
• Affinity with Data, IT and ERP.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
