Senior Medical Affairs Manager - Specialised Nutrition

As a Senior Medical Affairs Manager within the Nutricia worldwide Medical Affairs and Market Access (MedMax) team, you will play a crucial role in improving health locally by driving medical credibility, demand, and access through innovative partnerships and scientific-based solutions. You will lead and execute the medical affairs for the specialized nutrition portfolio, with a focus on Early Life Nutrition. Within this role, you will report to the Medical Affairs and Market Access Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and sign off on evidence-based, validated messages/claims, materials, and media (promotional, educational) and packaging in line with Nutricia’s procedures, category strategy, etc.
  • Design and execute medical initiatives (e.g., symposia, webinars, advisory boards, Danone Nutricia Campus, etc.) to maximize awareness of needs, evidence, and use of products across our portfolio.
  • Lead and secure internal (and distributor’s) category and product knowledge and proactive on evidence, relevant clinical topics, composition, and use of all products/services.
  • Provide category education and medical support to HCPs; leveraging Danone Nutricia Campus.
  • Lead the medical affairs input into strategy & execution by identifying and analyzing relevant trends in clinical practice, nutritional science, publications, current relevant recommendations, guidelines, healthcare/economic environments, to shape current commercial/medical plans, and future innovation.
  • Lead KOL & stakeholder management together with healthcare teams and distributors, with productive collaborations with HCPs, key organizations, and KOLs to support product use & credibility and manage risk and crises.
  • Ensure effective ways of working across the medical team (including market access), with other key internal stakeholders (CAT teams, Healthcare teams, Regulatory) and global teams, to deliver strategy, activities & secure registration and HCP support.

About you

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a healthcare, academic, or commercial setting, including working in dietetic clinical practice. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in medical affairs and a good understanding from a nutrition/dietetic perspective of the different conditions/diseases, clinical needs, and clinical practice related to our scope as well as commercial application. Experience in early life nutrition is a plus. You should be educated to degree level in dietetics, nutrition, or other relevant life science.

You will need to demonstrate a track record of success in managing internal and external stakeholders and delivering high-quality output in a rapidly changing and complex environment.
