As a tech lead in the digital and customer interactions domain, you are part of the heart of Rabobank. You shape an efficient and coherent area together with the other tech leads for IT4ops and foundation. You are the system owner of multiple applications and platform systems that shape the future of Rabobank.

IT4ops & Foundation

The area spans 17 squads across 7 technologies. A number of high impact foundational platforms like Pega and Robotics. It also is the home of procurement applications, content recognition and delivering support and automation to our entire tribe.

Within IT4ops and foundation our main goal is to add value wherever we can while assuring continuity and being in control of our platforms.

You and your position

The tech lead role is all about making a difference in HR management, capability building, financial steering, and compliance. You improve daily, create great squads that deliver the best solutions using the most modern tools available to you. You operate in steering triangles with a Product Owner and Solution Architect, to set the direction for the squads. You also collaborate with other Tech Leads to achieve strategic priorities.

You aim for balanced leadership, to guide both people and results. You have experience in an agile way of working, comprehend the risk & compliance requirements of a bank, and have a wide interest and view on IT trends. You are proactive and can take responsibility and have the inner drive to make a positive difference.

Key responsibilities

  • Management/HR responsible for approximately 35 FTEs.
  • Part of S@S triangles, on squad and area level
  • Resource management of IT capabilities within squads – recruitment, strategic sourcing
  • Capability building of team members – continuous coaching, upskilling, and reskilling of employees
  • Manage internal and external suppliers and (IT) vendors
  • Steer finance for team within budget
  • Drive continuous improvement and engineering culture
  • Address IT impediments of squads

You and your talent

  • You are a people-oriented team player and can attract and retain the best talent. This includes:
  • Experience with managing digital workplace or IT infrastructure teams/services
  • 2 to 5 years of proven leadership and HR responsible experience (ca 35 employees span of control)
  • Financial acumen – experience managing finance, cost models and budgets up to €6M.
  • Cooperative mindset – lead by example and inspire colleagues to think sustainably and help others.
  • Knowledge of DevOps teams, scaled Agile, IT automation, Operational Excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills, spoken and written (English and ideally also Dutch)
  • Judgement & Decision making, Agility, and Complex problem solving skills
