Video Editor / Quality Control

We are experiencing exciting growth and as such we are seeking a Video Editor/Quality Control professional to join our dynamic team at Grip. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional editing skills, and a comprehensive understanding of post-production processes.

As our Video Editor/QC, you will be responsible for replacing VFX shots in final masters, collaborating closely with project managers and VFX supervisors, and addressing issues related to colors, video, and audio to achieve exceptional visual aesthetics.

What’s Grip?

As INDG's software branch, Grip is an end-to-end content automation platform that generates infinite ad variations by combining CGI, rule-based generative AI, and post-production into an easy-to-use automated content generation platform that transforms master ad creatives into endless variations—empowering brands to scale content production globally without compromising on quality or brand consistency.

Grip works by taking master content supplied by brands or their agencies and converting it into a deeply modular configurator. This allows marketers to create their own visual adaptations and variations effortlessly, saving millions in production costs while maintaining brand consistency.

Responsibilities:

  • Download all master files from vendors, conduct thorough quality checks, and upload them to our servers. Create an MP4 version for quick access.
  • Replace VFX shots in the final master, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications and standards.
  • Edit or create various cut-downs and social media crops from the master edit (9x16, 1x1, 4x5, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, VFX supervisors, and team members to achieve desired results.
  • Identify and address issues related to colors, video, audio, and overall visual aesthetics.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in editing techniques and technology.

Job requirements

Would be amazing if you have:

  • Proven experience as a video editor with a robust portfolio.
  • Knowledge of the visual effects (VFX) process and pipeline is preferable.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software, preferably with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects (Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Davinci Resolve are nice to have).
  • Quality control expertise covering video, audio, and visual effects assets.
  • Understanding industry specifications, including resolution, frame rate, audio settings, and color space.
  • Familiarity with file format technicalities, codecs, raw video files, transcoding, and compression.
  • Knowledge of video resolution, aspect ratios, and LUTs.
  • Understanding of broadcast, web, social media, and online media delivery standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a critical eye for visual quality.
  • Efficient work under tight deadlines, strong timekeeping skills for timely project completion.
  • Quick learning ability for new processes and technology.
  • Effective at taking direction, asking questions, and learning through observation, with excellent communication and team interaction skills across all production phases.
  • Fluent in English
