Medior BCM Coordinator

What you are going to do

You will support the development and implementation of effective business continuity management to minimize disruptions to NN business operations during a crisis or disaster. For this, the BCM Team at NN Group coordinates and supports BCM efforts throughout NN to increase overall resilience of the organization and adherence to (legal) requirements.

As Medior BCM Coordinator you will, from within the BCM Centre of Expertise, work with a global network of BCM professionals from business units and corporate departments. You will actively collaborate with internal business units, corporate departments, and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to any potential threat or disruption.

Main responsibilities

  • Supporting activities necessary to enable NN Group to manage a crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for NN Group BCM planning
  • Support the BCM Centre of Expertise and core team (team of BCM professionals) and provide guidance and support to ensure effective BCM practices and governance are corporate-wide in place.
  • Support business BCM maintenance, with support tooling “Clearview”, exercising, testing and operation including the validity and currency of Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity-, Disaster Recovery-, and Crisis Management plans
  • Help to develop and implement the NN group wide training program for the Management Board, group Crisis Management Committee and scenario-based Crisis Management Teams and Crisis Managers.
  • Actively sharing knowledge and experience with other BCM professionals, supporting them in improving BCM within the organization
  • Ensure proper preparation for a Group crisis event, timely and effective crisis response, continuous improvement based on regular testing and exercising, and effective management of a crisis
  • Function as one of the NN Group Crisis Coordinators as a focal point for the Group Management Board, Crisis Committee, assigned Crisis Teams and Crisis Managers for disruptive events and crisis impacting NN Group.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and trends

Who you are

You know how to translate our strategic vision into short and long-term implementations plan (program and roadmap) to further develop BCM capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • A bachelor’s degree in emergency management, business administration, risk management, or a related field
  • Background in Business Process Management, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Security Management or Business Administration (or comparable)
  • At least 2 to 5 years of professional experience in business continuity, crisis management, risk management, ideally in the financial services sector
  • Preferably formal training and experience in BCM, Crisis Management and Program management; certifications like Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Crisis Management Certified Specialist (CMCS) or certification by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or the willingness to follow required education for certification
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (Company language) and Dutch are mandatory

In addition to this, you must possess the ability to work across various levels of the organization, from senior executives to employees. Who you will work with

As Senior BCM Coordinator for NN Group you will collaborate with all functional business areas in Business Continuity to develop, maintain and evaluate the corporate-wide BCM program (including BCM roadmap) that addresses business continuity, recovery, crisis, and emergency response management.

During Crisis you will work together with global NN top management, Group Corporate Relations and Communications, assigned Crisis Managers and other external stakeholders.
