Your job

As a skilled Executive Consultant you will have end to end responsibility for multiple projects/programs within one of our expertise. Your mission: you serve our clients by realizing high quality execution within set time frame and budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading projects, developing project plans, and managing all phases of project execution.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management (EXBO level) and respond to stakeholders and the SteerCo.
• Serving the interest of the bank by focusing on the bigger picture and include stakeholders.
• You secure support for strategic changes and projects / programmes, and are responsible for implementing them.
• Within the bank, you are an authority in your own field of expertise related to projects and processes. You enable fellow professionals to enhance their skills.
• You are able to make complex programmes comprehensible and decide on the approach to be taken in projects.
• You focus on the long term. You are regarded as a trusted advisor by your counterparts and do everything possible – both professionally and in the area of the relationship – to ensure that this is the case.
• You advise on highly complex matters that have a major impact on the bank and coordinate how they are dealt with.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and delivering solutions to any challenges that arise.
• Leading a team of consultants and business experts, sharing best practices and acting as a sparring partner for colleagues within SE&I.
• Organizing and chairing meetings between key project stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment and effective decision making.
• Monitoring progress against project timelines and tracking project risks and issues, dependencies on other programmes, business-as-usual activities, and interdependencies between workstreams.
• Reporting project progress and risks to the client.

As an Executive Consultant in our Strategy Execution & Implementation department, you'll be part of Digital Payments Consultancy one of the six Consultancy Expertise teams.

Within our Digital & Payments Consultancy Expertise, 40+ SE&I consultants help our internal clients grow and solve their most important challenges within change in the area of Digital & Payments. Future-proof (friction-free) payments and online banking is a strategic priority for ABN AMRO. In addition, becoming a personal bank in a digital age requires an Expertise that focuses specifically on the digitization of our organization. Digitisation, automation and personalisation are key concepts.

The services we offer:

Digital & Payments Consultancy: Process digitization, Design and implementation of client-facing capabilities, design and implementation of employee-facing capabilities, design and implementation of payment solutions.

Your profile

You’re a strong conceptual thinker and an expert in your area of expertise. You bring a hands-on mentality, a drive to change and improve. As a highly experienced professional, you take an independent approach to your work. You do not shy away from difficult discussions and are familiar with resistance. You have excellent communication skills, are goal-orientated and solution-led. As a result, you are able to optimally manage your stakeholders with a high level of responsibility.

Check your profile:

• A university level education with ~15+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with a background in consultancy.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Extensive project/programme management experience, preferably in financial institutions.
• Highly experienced in stakeholder management at the most senior level: EXBO.
• Experience in- and extensive knowledge of different methodologies, such as Agile and Prince2.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Professional skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch is a must.

Furthermore:

• The gross monthly salary (min. Eur. 9.257 – max. Eur. 13.224) is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. A 40-hour work week is also possible. The actual salary is determined at the time of an offer. This will be based on your knowledge, experience, and potential.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
• Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team).
• An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
• An excellent pension scheme.
