Senior Consumer Marketing Manager OneBlade

In this role, you can contribute to fundamentally improving people's health and well-being through meaningful innovation whilst advancing your career in a global environment. You will enter the fast-paced, multinational environment of the Business Group Grooming & Beauty at Philips Headquarters in Amsterdam. OneBlade is a highly successful business in the Grooming & Beauty Business group driving the biggest part of the growth for the group. To further fuel the growth we need to continuously search for new value spaces and develop new propositions – both product innovations and commercial innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify new opportunities for OneBlade by analyzing category trends, competitor landscape, and harvesting consumer insights.
  • Translate in-depth market, consumer, and shopper insights, as well as competitive analyses, into winning value propositions and commercial innovation ideas.
  • Responsible for developing winning and future-fit product innovation & commercial innovation roadmap rooted in deep, validated consumer, shopper, and customer insights and in close collaboration with Category CMD, Innovation, and RBUL.
  • Responsible for Value Proposition Creation process including concept feasibility testing, market development, launch readiness, execution, and market adoption in close partnership with Innovation Leader and RBUL.
  • Responsible for developing go-to-market strategy and success recipe for all new value proposition introductions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communication to develop winning campaigns, and track campaign effectiveness and ROI.

You Are A Part Of: The OneGrooming Business Category team within Business Group Grooming & Beauty. Philips is a leader in this segment with a healthy business and ambitious future global plans. You will report to the Consumer Marketing Director and be working in a network of various stakeholders based in the Netherlands and in key overseas markets (e.g., marketing specialists, key account managers).

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • A completed degree in business administration, marketing, or related fields with an excellent academic track record.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in upstream marketing in the field of consumer marketing or product management (experience with personal care FMCG or FMCD products is a plus).
  • Highly analytical, with great conceptual and critical thinking skills and deep understanding of upstream marketing.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial and activation elements that are required to drive success for a product launch.
  • Experience with translating market research and shopper insights into product concepts and new propositions.
  • Proven track record with global consumer/retail brands with a demonstrated ability to work with multiple and diverse markets or stakeholders.
  • Ability to take calculated risks, think creatively whilst being firm enough to make, and act upon, clear decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work with people of different seniority and backgrounds, informing, influencing, convincing, presenting, project management.
  • Business fluency in English (written & verbal).

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This role is office-based.
