Business Controller Customer Value – Business Line NXE/EXE

Introduction to the job

Within the BI&C Customer Value (CV) team, the Business Line controllers are key to enable high quality decision making for ASML's installed base business. You will collaborate closely with the Finance Business Partners (FBP) and business counterparts of CS sector and Business Line to optimize financial business performance. You will develop, deliver, review & enhance financial and non-financial analyses focusing on installed base P&Ls (for Upgrades, Installs and Service business).

In this high volume, high complex environment you will look for standardization and automation opportunities that will provide the required business insights at an efficient and high (and consistent) quality standard.

Role and responsibilities

Business Insights & Control (BI&C) combines business knowledge, advanced analytics and controlling activities, and act as a coordinating hub to provide integral insights. Together with your BI&C CV BL team members and Finance Business Partner counterparts, you will identify and address key business questions to ensure high quality decision making.

In this role, you will:

  • Utilize, maintain and improve financial planning modelling that is needed for long term target setting and scenario analysis
  • Drive optimization and improvement of processes, standardization of worldwide reporting and insight-driven analyses to satisfy the need for management information.
  • Take a proactive role in preparing and managing the Business Lines Service long-term financial plan, global annual budget cycle and monthly financial reviews, ensuring high quality planning information in terms of relevance, content, accuracy and timelines
  • Deliver the required insights towards CS and BL management utilizing the standard available automated reports and applying customization where needed to deliver the message
  • Translate the combined CS and BL knowledge into standardized insights that both increase BL understanding of CS cost drivers, and CS understanding of BL profitability drivers
  • Be the point of contact for all NXE/EXE IB&S (Install/Upgrade/Service) insights, together with the Sr. BL NXE/EXE Business Controller in your team
  • Prioritize cross-BL standardization and automation and drive implementation of new reporting/analysis solutions, together with the other BL Business controllers in the team
  • Collaborate with the business teams to improve financial performance, together with the Finance Business Partners from CS and Business Line DUV

Education and experience

  • Master’s degree in business economics or data analytics
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a business control and/or FP&A environment
  • Extensive experience in managing complex financial processes and with planning applications and related tools (SAP BW, BI reporting, etc.)
  • Preferably experience in a (high) tech multinational environment and proven track record of quickly understanding complex content
