Your primary responsibility is supporting the functional budget owners in achieving their financial and operational targets while also contributing to informed strategic decision-making.

How you’ll help us.                 

Based at our EMEA Headquarters, just outside of Amsterdam, Netherlands, you will be reporting to the Manager SG&A Business Control, and as part of the role, you’ll:   

• Ensure Human Resources, Facility, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) related accruals and journal entries are booked accurately on time.
• Create, develop and maintain comprehensive monthly business review reports and supporting documents for your main stakeholders, focusing on explaining variances versus the latest plan by value-added comments. You will also align and clarify on what impact the results might have on the year ahead.
• Achieve full visibility on all HR, Facility, Finance, Legal, CSR OPEX and CAPEX and provide insights from which short-term actions can influence operating income.
• Provide on-time guidelines, deadlines, deliverables and templates to your stakeholders for an efficient and aligned holistic Financial Planning and Forecast Planning process.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Business Control colleagues at all levels to develop a detailed Financial Plan (OPEX and CAPEX) for your area of responsibility.
• Support the Departmental Management Teams in improving KPIs and reducing costs.

More about you.     

• Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in an accounting or controlling role within an international company.
• Knowledge of accounting, financial and commercial analysis, and budget and forecast planning processes.
• Knowledge of Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) ERP, SAP Analytics Cloud Reporting, and Business Objects.
• Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, PowerPoint, Thinkcell.
