What you are going to do

As a Tech Lead you will be placed in the Pension Services development team, you will be a pivotal part of a highly collaborative empowered product team. The team works closely with the business to create straight through Business Process Modelling solutions for the business processes. As a team your will continuously strive to improve the user experience and meet the highest standards of quality and security. Whenever possible, AI is being used to accelerate our way of working and that of our customer service. Join us as a Tech Lead in the OutSystems development team and support us in driving innovation and excellence in our digital transformation efforts.

• As an OutSystems Tech Lead you are responsible for following an Agile Scrum approach when designing and developing business applications. You support feature delivery demos, production deployments and overall solution rollout procedures
• You support the product owner by converting user demands into technical requirements for the sprint backlog. You align these with the DevOps team members and analysts to arrive at the best possible solution. And you are able to support the product owner in splitting the project into stages for low-risk transition and adoption by business units
• You are responsible for the overall quality and future-proofing of the systems, including the preparations and eventual migration to ODC. Furthermore, you monitor the application’s architecture, code quality and integrations with third party applications. You take an active role in determining possible improvements, realizing adjustments while testing your own and other’s code
• You lead by example and coach other engineers in- and outside your team to work in OutSystems to our company’s best practices and way or working, maintaining application performance, reliability, and security. You actively collaborate with our Center of Excellence to keep our best practices up to date

• Salary between €6219.- and €8.840 (based on 40 hours excluding 13th month and holiday allowance) depending on your knowledge and experience. It is also possible to work 36 or 38 hours per week
• 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary
• 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week and one Diversity Day

Who you are

You thrive on working on large-scale projects and harnessing the latest technology in a complex financial IT landscape. Leveraging your engineering mindset, you are a critical thinker with a hands-on mentality, and a knack for coaching and guiding team members. You collaborate and communicate well with colleagues to achieve meaningful team results, taking ownership of your work.

You also have:

• A bachelor’s degree in IT, or experience-based bachelor-level ability
• At least five years of extensive (Tech Lead) OutSystems experience including API development, third-party integrations, BDD and BPT
• Experience of coaching colleagues, and future-proof application design and architecture within a complex IT landscape
• Good communication skills to align with the product owner, as well as the DevOps team members as well as the business
• Work experience in the financial services market or a drive to quickly gain the knowledge you need to develop our systems and applications
• A good command of written and spoken English, as we are an international organisation. In addition, you speak or are willing to learn Dutch, for which we offer courses
