A day in the life of a Senior Business Analyst

As a Senior Business Analyst at Valtech, you are critical to the success of our collaboration with our clients. You will be involved at every stage of the project, from kick-off, through delivery and implementation. Working closely with our clients, you’ll be responsible for turning the project vision and user experience into deliverables the team can work with, whilst always maintaining a focus on the ‘why’ for your project.

In addition, you will:

• Identify the business needs and recommend viable solutions to meet those needs and support strategic decision-making
• Find and identify stakeholders in complex ecosystems to define applicable ways of working and communication styles
• Produce user journey maps, process models, and other artefacts that help the team deliver according to the opportunity/challenge
• Define & manage the roadmap and the resulting project backlog with focus on short, medium, and long-term goals and value to the client
• Work with the development team (cross-functional) to prepare user stories for delivery
• Facilitate workshops and a variety of team ceremonies as required; sprint planning, backlog grooming, refinements, etc.

You and the role

You are someone with a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, turning the project vision and user experience into deliverables the team can work with, on complex digital solutions.

We would love if you have

• Expertise in requirements elicitation and articulation, with experience to underpin your ability
• Extensive experience delivering projects from discovery through implementation
• The ability to identify potential risks & issues and suggest solutions before they escalate
• An understanding of the broader business context and align the work with strategic objectives of the client and Valtech
• The skills to build strong networks across teams and departments to gain insights and create synergy on large, complex projects
• A track record of working closely with other disciplines involved in delivery; development, QA, UX, and User Research and bring thought leadership in your craft area
• Consultancy experience gained in a digital solutions environment with extensive client/stakeholder management experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of workshop facilitation tools and techniques for a variety of project scenarios
• Confidence managing a variety of stakeholders across all levels of an organization and bringing focus on business value
• Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and Dutch.
