Get ready to make a real impact in a certified B Corp as our new Senior Business Controller, where you will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy, optimizing performance, and providing actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making. You will focus on ensuring our business grows sustainably while delivering value to internal and external stakeholders.

The position is full-time immediately available at our HQ in Amsterdam and reports directly to our CFO, Jos Geerken.

You'll be..

• Acting as a business partner of the CEO, CFO and Management Team by translating strategic goals and financial data into actionable insights and core KPIs
• Lead budgeting, Latest Estimates and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals, cashflow planning, business risks and opportunities
• Preparing business cases with robust financial modeling for new projects and investments
• Monitoring key metrics, identifying trends, and support decision-making recommending improvements to enhance performance
• Mentoring the Finance and Accounting teams

You...

• Have 5–6 years of experience in a business controller role, or within a high-growth international environment or within PE, VC, Corporate Finance, Accounting firm (optics knowledge is a plus)
• Are highly skilled in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting
• Have a commercial mindset and strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Love identifying process improvements and questioning the status quo
• Are proficient with Excel and financial software; experience with ERP systems is a plus
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability are key
• Have a positive attitude, a good sense of humor, and are a strong team player
