RF Test Engineer

The customer is working on an innovative project involving RF technology and seeks our collaboration. After the design phase, the product is manufactured and must be thoroughly tested and calibrated using a test setup. As a Test Engineer, you will collaborate with the customer to determine how the product will be tested and calibrated. You will be responsible for the full development process, from design to implementation, covering both hardware and software. Ultimately, the products are tested and calibrated by one of our testers. Once the test results are in, you will analyze them and translate them into improvement actions within our production environment to ensure maximum efficiency. Part of this involves migrating to our general KITT test platform and replacing outdated equipment.

What you bring to the team

Additionally, we ask for:

• Knowledge of and affinity with RF technology
• A completed bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Familiarity with electronic design and functionality
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical product documentation
• Affinity with software development
• Full-time availability
• Experience in a similar role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English

Your daily responsibilities include

When you join us, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive onboarding program to familiarize you with our products and production processes. This will include shadowing various departments and, if needed, training you in LabVIEW for test software development.

Your tasks will also include:

• Drafting test documentation and guiding and training testers and repair technicians for radio frequency (RF) testing;
• Reviewing customer requests with the account engineer or account manager and preparing quotations;
• Discussing the technical aspects of outsourcing work to other Neways production locations;
• Proposing and implementing improvements for testing and test tools.
