As a Test Engineer at Neways, you play a crucial role in innovative projects. You’ll be part of the Engineering department, working closely with Account Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Process Engineers. A multidisciplinary team where knowledge sharing and collaboration are central.

Our customers rely on your expertise to help define the best test strategies. Once the design phase is complete and the product goes into production, you’ll develop the test setup—both hardware and software. You don’t just design the test system, you build it yourself—soldering and assembling included.

Once the test setup is operational, our testers take over the process and you analyze the test results. Based on your findings, you initiate improvements within the production environment. Your insights and innovative mindset contribute to the continuous optimization of our processes and products. You’ll work on both enhancing existing test setups and developing new ones. As our organization continues to grow, the demand for smarter, more efficient test solutions—with less effort and shorter lead times—is also increasing.

This is what you bring to the team

As a Test Engineer, you play a key role in the production of our complex, high-quality cable products for leading clients in the high-tech sector. You ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. We’re looking for someone who brings:

• A bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics;

• Relevant experience is a plus, but we also welcome enthusiastic starters;

• Knowledge of electronics—you understand how to design electronics and have an affinity with software development;

• The ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical product documentation;

• A curious, solution-oriented mindset;

• The confidence to speak up and suggest improvements;

• Availability of 32 to 40 hours per week;

• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.

Your daily responsibilities include

• Creating test documentation and training/guiding testers and repair technicians on new tests;

• Evaluating and quoting customer requests together with the Account Engineer or Account Manager;

• Discussing technical details when outsourcing work to our production site in Slovakia;

• Proposing and implementing improvements in test preparation, test methods, and test tools.
