Allseas Engineering is seeking an IT License & Vendor Coordinator to join our team, supporting license management and vendor relations. This role will help you develop skills in tracking software assets, understanding vendor contracts, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Your role

As the IT License & Vendor Manager, you will manage software licenses and vendor relations to optimize costs, improve compliance, and enhance the value of our IT investments. Working across teams, you will ensure Allseas has the right licenses and maintain strong vendor relationships to support our goals. Your responsibilities will include tracking usage, analyzing data, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. You will also be instrumental in setting up structured processes to ensure Allseas maximizes its investments and operates efficiently within licensing agreements.

(Main)job specific tasks

  • Monitor and manage software licenses to ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and alignment with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with software vendors, managing contract terms and negotiations.
  • Support Procurement in negotiating renewals and agreements, optimizing terms to meet budgetary and strategic goals.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities, reducing licensing costs and eliminating redundancies.
  • Analyze software usage data to forecast needs, improve asset utilization, and prevent over-provisioning.
  • Oversee compliance with licensing agreements, minimizing risk and protecting Allseas from potential penalties.
  • Collaborate with procurement on acquisition processes, contract renewals, and inventory management.
  • Generate regular reports on license utilization, vendor performance, and cost-saving measures for stakeholders.

What we expect from you

We seek a proactive and analytical IT License & Vendor Manager with excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset. You should be comfortable working with data, contracts, and vendors, aiming to optimize costs and maintain compliance. Strong

Communication and organizational skills are essential, as is a deep understanding of licensing and vendor management best practices.

Besides this, you have:

  • A recent HBO/BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
  • Interest (or preferably experience) in license and vendor management within an IT environment.
  • Strong communication skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of licensing models, compliance standards, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and interest in learning asset management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and an understanding of budget management.
