Senior Manager Enterprise Risk Management

Our Senior Manager Enterprise Risk Management ensures RFC’s risk profile is effectively managed and reported out in line with the Executive & Supervisory Board risk appetite across RFC globally ranging from Business Groups to local countries all over the world. This role oversees the various risks and interrelations between risks whilst discussing and challenging key stakeholders on the risk profile. It’s essential that the knowledge is kept up-to-date by frequent interactions and research/information from internal and external sources through research and dialogues throughout RFC.

Wat we vragen

  • Masters in accounting, finance or business administration and qualified Accountant, Auditor or Controller (e.g. RA/RC)
  • At least 12 years of relevant working experience in an international (corporate) organization or larger Consultancy / Audit Firm
  • Proven knowledge and work experience in Enterprise Risk Management and conducting risk assessments.
  • Affinity with Global risk developments (e.g. Macro-economic, financial, geopolitical, etc.) and specifics in the dairy / FMCG industry (e.g. nitrogen, ESG, supply chain, etc.)
  • Advanced theoretical knowledge of and experience with risk management and end-to-end business processes on a strategic, tactical and operational level.
  • Strong analytical skills, hands-on, accurate and pro-active
  • Senior stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Professional communication in English and Dutch, writing and verbal
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality

The Senior Manager Enterprise Risk Management oversees RFC's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, enhancing risk identification, assessment, and treatment processes. Key accountabilities:

  • Acts as a member of the Management Team for the EGRC department.
  • Develops and maintains RFC's ERM approach and strategy, ensuring it remains pragmatic, clear, and globally applicable.
  • Promotes RFC's ERM approach to stakeholders and maintain global risk knowledge by leveraging networks and research.
  • Leads annual global risk assessments, facilitates workshops, and conducts specialized risk assessments (e.g., fraud, project risks).
  • Engages in ongoing risk dialogues, deep dives, and support the business in risk management for new initiatives or changes.
  • Advised management in defining risk response plans.
  • Analyses external risk trends and provides periodic insights on global or country-specific risks.
  • Delivers high-quality, timely risk reports for OpCo Management Teams, Business Group Management Teams, Executive Board, Audit & Risk Committee, and external financial disclosures.

The international team has team members in all important RFC locations and plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing risks globally; They drive the Enterprise Risk Management programme, establish strong control measures where the organisation is at risk through the Internal Control programme, manage Authorizations, oversee Data Governance and continuously drive resolutions and improvement through Technology when risk materialise, audit findings arise and processes & systems evolve over time.

This position reports directly to the Global Director Enterprise Governance, Risk & Compliance and operates out of Amersfoort.
