Can you help us fine-tune and innovate our approach to managing strategic, operational, financial, ESG, Tech, and compliance risks?

The biggest challenge

Expand our Risk & Control team’s capabilities and value proposition. You’ll need to develop a clear vision for comprehensive risk management and make informed decisions across all areas of operation. Can you navigate the complexities of new propositions and (constantly) evolving business models and keep any associated risks under control?

What you'll do as Specialist Enterprise Risk Management

In this role, you’ll become an integral part of our dynamic Risk & Control team, working collaboratively to manage risks across the organization. This position will offer you a bird’s-eye view of all our processes, exposing you to multiple departments and key business initiatives. As a trusted business partner to senior management and directors, you’ll provide invaluable guidance on risk-related issues that could impact strategic objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in expanding and professionalizing our risk management framework, ensuring it evolves in tandem with our existing business models and all new propositions.

Your day-to-day activities will be diverse and impactful. You’ll support senior management in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while keeping a vigilant eye on bol’s overall risk profile. You’ll connect with key stakeholders to coordinate risk management efforts across both bol and Ahold Delhaize. Implementing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), assisting in the formulation of action plans, and facilitating risk assessments on new propositions will all fall under your purview. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you prepare pre-reads for the Governance, Risk & Compliance committee and play a crucial role in decision-making processes. Key responsibilities include:

• Support senior management in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks
• Oversee bol's risk profile and anticipate evolving organizational needs
• Facilitate risk management coordination at bol and Ahold Delhaize

• Implement Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for all applicable risks
• Prepare pre-reads for the Governance, Risk & Compliance committee
• Facilitate risk assessments on new propositions and significant changes

Theoretical purist You gladly adopt proven risk management models, but adapting and improving them sounds like an unnecessary risk

• Hint dropper Direct communication can be perceived as confrontational, so you’d rather drop hints and hope everyone reads between the lines

Solid foundation You have a Master's degree and 8+ years of experience, preferably with the Big 4 and in the field of Risk Management

• Pragmatic strategist You are versed in both strategy and operations; translating discussions into actions comes naturally
• Clear communicator Connecting people and conveying the importance of risk management to any discussion partner? No problem!
