Sustainability Controller

What are you going to do

As a Sustainability Controller, you will drive BAM’s sustainability reporting agenda, co-leading data improvement initiatives and integrating sustainability into decision-making processes. This role involves managing cross-functional programs, adapting to evolving sustainability requirements, and engaging with senior management to enhance BAM’s industry-leading sustainability reporting practices.

  • Co-lead sustainability reporting improvements and data initiatives;
  • Enhance BAM’s system landscape for sustainability reporting;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and manage diverse stakeholders;
  • Adapt to dynamic situations and changing sustainability demands;
  • Engage with senior management to drive strategic sustainability goals.

Your work environment

You will be part of a dedicated team of four colleagues, all focused on internal and external sustainability reporting and advancing the implementation of the CSRD regulation.

  • A salary between € 4.700,- and € 5.880,- gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience. This is based on a 40-hour working week and excludes 8% holiday pay;
  • Good secondary employment conditions in accordance with the Construction and Infrastructure collective labor agreement, such as a budget for sustainable employability (2,18%), 25 vacation days, 15 schedule free days and 3 short-term absenteeism days per calendar year;
  • Reimbursement of your travel costs (100% public transport or a kilometer allowance), laptop and iPhone;
  • A unique opportunity to develop yourself broadly, where you stay informed of the latest techniques and knowledge through our own 'BAM Learning'. In addition, other courses and training are possible.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a skilled professional with a passion for sustainability reporting and a strong analytical mindset to drive business improvements. As a team player with excellent communication skills, you will collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders and help shape BAM’s sustainability journey.

  • Passionate about sustainability reporting, analytics, and business improvements;
  • Strong analytical and data management skills;
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple (senior) stakeholders;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken;
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience with a MSc or equivalent qualification.
