Internship Opportunity in Technology Sustainability

As businesses set ambitious environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, their sustainability and technology strategies need to align closely. To support CIOs in realizing an effective sustainable technology strategy that drives both business growth and ESG performance, our goal is to embed Sustainability in all our Technology solutions and services – Sustainability by design – by delivering on three imperatives:

• Sustainability by Technology: Using the power of technology to enable and accelerate sustainability efforts across organizations and businesses.

• Sustainability in Technology: Protecting people and the planet by making technology itself progressively more sustainable.

• Sustainability at Scale: Pursuing breakthrough innovation with ecosystem partners to develop radically different and more sustainable ways of doing business in the future.

Team

You will join our Technology Sustainability team, focusing on delivering services and solutions related to the three imperatives. For example, we help support our clients in their sustainable journey by kickstarting a Green Cloud project, delivering Sustainable Software Development Frameworks, or selecting and implementing ESG Measurement & Tracking Platforms.

Daily Tasks

During this internship, you will use your insights related to Technology Sustainability to develop new ideas that enable the organization to innovate and create value. The focus of your internship can be on one particular field, such as Green Cloud or an ESG Platform, or on an overarching theme such as Sustainability by Technology or Sustainability by Design.

Research

We support a research topic that includes:

• Using the power of technology to enable and accelerate sustainability efforts across the organization.
• Protecting people and the planet by making technology itself progressively more sustainable.
• Pursuing breakthrough innovation with ecosystem partners to develop radically different and more sustainable ways of doing business in the future.

Technology

In this role, you will become familiar with ESG monitoring, reporting, and tracking platforms. This includes data architectures, data pipelines, and infrastructure topics. Think of platforms like Microsoft Sustainability Manager, Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, and SAP Sustainability Control Tower.
