Are you an experienced actuary with a passion for detail and diligence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Risk Reporting Specialist! In this pivotal role, you will be leading the risk (SCR) reporting processes within NN Re.

What you are going to do

Your main responsibility will be to lead the quarterly and annual risk reporting processes.

In this job you will (mainly) be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the quarterly risk reporting tasks within the team, with NN Group and other NN business units
  • Managing the annual (regulatory) risk reporting process and writing parts of essential deliverables, such as Regulatory Supervisory Report, Solvency and Financial Condition Report, Risk Paragraph, QRTs, etc.
  • Leading the automation of risk reporting by migrating the process to NN Re’s data analytics platform (DAP)

Who you are

You have excellent planning and coordination skills. You can meet hard deadlines and handle unforeseen challenges and interruptions. You can effectively coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. You work to achieve the team’s objectives with due diligence. You further:

  • Have a master’s degree in actuarial sciences or econometrics
  • Have at least seven years of experience in risk management or solvency reporting with a (re)insurance company
  • Are fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Have a good knowledge of Solvency-II regulation and
  • Have good communication, organisation and presentation skills

NN Re is the reinsurance and hedging company of NN Group. Within NN Group, we are a relatively small organization with around 60 people from more than 15 different countries. At NN Re, you will get exposure to innovative (re-)insurance solutions. You will work in a professional team of experts and interact with business partners around the world.

We help our customers optimize their risk profile, capital consumption and P&L volatility. Besides that, we manage various hedging books related to investment guarantees underwritten throughout NN Group.

Within NN Re, the Financial Risk Management Team is predominantly responsible for risk modelling and Solvency-II risk reporting. We also provide second line opinions on contract pricing, strategic asset allocations and hedge proposals. We are a diverse team of seven with different cultural backgrounds and levels of experience from recent university graduate to seasoned professional.
