TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a seasoned domain or enterprise architect on support functions like Finance, HR, and IT services (m/w/d) who will contribute to this.

Your responsibilities

This architecture function is in the Business Technology Organization (BTO) of TenneT. You work within the Enterprise Architecture team (+/- 10 FTE) of the BTO-Office. In addition, you work together with BTO’s IT architects and domain head and leads to evolve and continuously improve the support functions architecture standards and overall architecture landscape. You are the contact person for senior leadership regarding all support functions topics and required architecture decisions. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the domain, the process and products, and who actively connects with all stakeholders. He/she collaborates with business, external suppliers, IT architects, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure a shared architectural vision.

• Establish principles, governance and guidance for maturing our support functions capability, with focus on standardization and modularization;
• Lead the support functions architecture board (mandated to decide on support functions architecture landscape) and support functions architecture guild (lead development of architecture products by IT architects in the domain);
• Monitor implementation of key support functions related projects like ERP or ITSM implementation, and ensure proper escalation and reporting to senior management stakeholders;
• Develop the target architecture and roadmap together with business, and outline how these goals are realized;
• Set expectations for quality, consistency, and delivery, ensuring that those standards are met and improved over time;
• Proactively identify, analyse, review, and evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities on support functions topics.

Your profile and background

• 10+ years of experience in a similar function, preferably you have done this before. Having business (TSO/Utilities/Infra asset) understanding is a big plus;
• Strong experience in leadership roles, focusing on architectural solutions for strategic importance.;
• You negotiate support for difficult decisions, anticipate problems, and ensure that credibility and trust are uncompromised;
• Strong experience with (implementation of) large software suites (standardization) in support systems, for, for example, Finance (SAP4HANA), HR (Success Factors) and ITSM (e.g. ServiceNow);
• Capable to functionally guide IT Architects in the support functions domain;
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF and ArchiMate are preferred;
• Good communication and presentation skills in English. Fluent in German and/or Dutch is an advantage.
