Are you an experienced HR Manager or Business Partner with a passion for operations? Join our Dutch People Operations team and make a real impact! With 10,000 employees in Dutch operations, you’ll lead a dedicated team of 15 HR Business Partners and 20 Admins, driving personal development, HR processes, and organizational growth across fulfilment, last-mile, and customer service teams.

As the People Operations Team lead for the Netherlands, you’ll hold a key position ensuring an employee-centric and smooth HR operations. You'll develop the team of HR BP's and Admins, optimize processes, and ensure compliance. You'll shape and improve the employee journey across different operational teams, and design development tracks for our talent. Your leadership skills, and understanding of people and HR, will make a real impact on our business.

Tricks of the trade

Guide and develop HR BPs: Conduct regular check-ins and bi-annual reviews to support and develop the team of HR Business Partners.

Align with stakeholders: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., international analyst team, People Director) and manage external partners (e.g., payroll, occupational health, labour inspection).

Drive people-related initiatives: Initiate and implement proactive solutions to address people-related challenges.

Provide data for decision-making: Deliver insightful data to guide business decisions and ensure organizational structure aligns with business objectives.

Enhance employee and team lead journeys: Improve processes related to staffing, onboarding, learning & development, and rotations.

Manage talent: Ensure the right people are in the right roles to meet organizational needs.

Set up HR shared service center: Establish an HR shared service center to streamline HR operations and enhance efficiency.

We’re looking for

  • You have a relevant Master's degree.
  • You have 6 to 8 years of experience with HR, preferably as HR Lead, or strategy/organizational consultant.
  • Your experience in a start-up/scale-up environment is a plus.
  • You speak fluent English and Dutch.
  • You are ready to lead a team, and have a passion for technology and people.
  • You know how to manage projects, and thrive in an operational environment.
  • You understand Human Resource disciplines and your knowledge in employment law is a plus.
  • Your base location is the Picnic office in Amsterdam. Still, since many of the team work across the country you are willing to regularly visit Fulfilment Centres in Utrecht, Rotterdam area, Apeldoorn, Eindhoven, and Heerenveen.
