As Data Analyst within the balance sheet management department, you will support the team with data-driven insights and automation of analyses related to interest rate risk, liquidity and credit risk. You’ll play a vital role in generating insights that contribute to strategic balance sheet management and provide actionable information to help the bank achieve its financial objectives.

You will work together with our two balance sheet management teams: Treasury, which manages the liquidity, capital and interest rate risk of the bank, and Investment Management, which is responsible for our investment and loan portfolios. Examples of assignments to support these teams include: measuring the performance of loan portfolios, evaluating the effectiveness of interest rate hedging and providing insight into the cost of funding. You’ll also work closely with the data team on developing and implementing robust data products and automating analyses.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and automating analyses for interest rate risk, liquidity management and credit risk
  • Collaborating with the data team to implement data products that provide insights into performance and effectiveness of financial strategies
  • Create reports and dashboards in Power BI to make complex information accessible and understandable for stakeholders
  • Writing, refining and maintaining financial models in SQL and Python
  • Proactively proposing solutions to solve data quality issues and other data-related challenges within the department, and take initiative in improvement projects

Vereisten

Your experience and skills

  • At least 3 years experience as a data analyst
  • Proven experience in programming financial or analytical models
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (including complex formulas and macros)
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Translating complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Knowledge of banking products (such as loans, derivatives and deposits) is a plus.
