THE ROLE
Damen Naval seeks to develop a Structural Hull Monitoring (SHM) methodology using digital twin technology and wave and sensor monitoring. This enhances predictive and preventive maintenance and optimizes design tools for hydrodynamic loading and structural resistance.
Our ongoing research focuses on equipping the next generation of naval vessels with these systems and further optimizing their design.
