Description of the assignment
At Vanderlande, Terraform is used for managing the Azure environment, but the current Terraform code has a need to be reviewed. This requirement has led to several challenges, such as the use of (possible) outdated modules and an old version of the AzureRM provider. This situation poses risks, including limited compatibility, and inefficient resource management. Therefore, the question is how to modernize the existing Terraform code to an up-to-date, scalable, and maintainable version while ensuring daily operations and business continuity are maintained.
Description of department
The Vanderlande ICT Core department is the backbone of our ICT Department, providing infrastructure, workplace, low-code platform, and data transport products to our internal organization. ICT Core contributes to high value for our business and delivering cutting-edge products. The department consists of collaborating team were we help each other. It is a team of about 50 people internationally. The specialists focusing on cloud consists of 2 people at this moment.
Your Responsibilities/Skills
- Extensive experience with Terraform and Azure for cloud infrastructure management
- Skilled in code review, analysis, and technical documentation
- Proficient in managing version control and updating modules effectively
- Expertise in risk mitigation and business continuity planning strategies
- Adept at creating comprehensive and clear documentation
- Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands
