We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented (Fashion) Product Developer/Buyer to join our fashion products development team. This dual role will involve developing innovative products while strategically managing purchasing decisions to align with market trends and consumer demands. Also ensuring that these products are marketable and run smoothly from an operational standpoint. In this position you will directly report to the New Business Development Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with design to conceptualize and create new product lines that meet market needs and brand identity. Experience in fit and grading of sizes;
  • Identify and source fabrics, trims, and other materials; establish relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and sustainability;
  • Pricing strategy, structure and margin optimization;
  • Develop cost sheets and negotiate pricing with vendors to ensure profitability while maintaining product quality;
  • Sourcing new suppliers, negotiations on deliverables and set up agreements in collaboration with the Legal team;
  • Development and production problem solving and troubleshooting;
  • Process development (including system software), supply chain and logistics;
  • Support in implementing a (product) system;
  • Oversee the creation of product samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards; coordinate fit sessions and make necessary adjustments.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development and buying, in the fashion industry. Preferably in the premium segment;
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills;
  • Strong passion for identifying the ideal fit for both male and female clientele, with experience in size grading and developing technical specifications;
  • Strong understanding of garment construction all genders, fitting, fabric types, and manufacturing processes;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends;
  • Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Excel, PLM systems, Adobe Creative Suite);
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
