For our headquarters in Amsterdam, we are looking for a full-time intern in the Policy & Sustainability team. The Policy & Sustainability team is responsible for safeguarding the sustainability of our SAF, developing ESG initiatives and reporting, interacting with government stakeholders and industry partners on SAF policy developments, interacting with SkyNRG’s Sustainability Board, and ensuring SkyNRG is upheld to the highest standards in sustainability.

About the team and role

As an intern, you will contribute to the following projects by working closely with the team on:

  • Creating/update an overview of global SAF Policies.
  • Analyze policies for their impact on SkyNRG and the global SAF Market
  • Aid in the various day to day activities of the Policy and Sustainability team

In the Policy and Sustainability team, we have 5 focus areas:

  • SAF Sustainability: safeguarding sustainability of SkyNRG’s SAF supply chains
  • ESG: performance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) sustainability of the company and our operations
  • Policy development: monitoring and providing input to SAF policy developments
  • Stakeholders engagement: staying in close contact with our industry and NGO partners to stay up to date on SAF certification, standards, and sustainability
  • Certification & Sustainability Reporting: ensure we’re following the latest guidance in sustainability reporting and adhere to standards set by certification bodies

Your profile

As a growing company in a rapidly developing industry, we are looking for someone that likes to play an active role in building out our business and is not afraid of change. The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Has a university background; in the final phase of a Master’s degree with a strong analytical focus
  • Is enrolled at a university throughout the entire period of the internship
  • Is entrepreneurial, independent, and persistent
  • Is passionate about sustainability
  • Enjoys analyzing long government documents
  • Has strong analytical and conceptual skills and is comfortable with technical topics
  • Is naturally curious and thrives on complex challenges
  • Has great interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Is fluent in English (both written and verbal)
