Do you get energized by creating technical designs in CAD, Civil3D, or other design programs? In this versatile role, you will be involved in both large and small projects and can fulfill multiple roles within these projects. Does this sound like something for you? Then read on!

What you do as a Civil Designer C3D / BIM:

As a designer, you are part of the design team for infrastructure projects in and around airports. You will work on various project phases, from the initial sketches to the final execution design. You will contribute to major international airports such as Schiphol, Brussels, Abu Dhabi, and Sydney. Driven by a passion for civil engineering, you translate technical requirements into sound designs using Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil3D.

You produce 2D/3D models of roads, taxiways, and runways. In this dynamic role, you make optimal use of your knowledge of various software packages and have the ambition to get the most out of this. You are constantly refining your skills and exploring new automation techniques to deliver innovative and efficient design solutions with the support of our experienced colleagues. Your passion for technology and design drives you to create the best designs in the industry.

Over the years you can grow into the role of BIM Coordinator, BIM Management and Design leading.

You will be part of our Airport Asset Design Civil advisory group in The Hague (Delft in May 2025), where we work with approximately 50 colleagues on projects in the Netherlands and for international clients. As a designer, you will collaborate internally with other departments within NACO and RHDHV. With more than 40 nationalities and 230 colleagues at NACO, the working language is English. The team is very experienced and will gladly help you on your way in your career.

What you bring:

With your communication and social skills, collaboration is no problem for you. Besides working in multidisciplinary projects, you also have no problem working independently and taking on tasks proactively. Additionally, you have:

  • A civil engineering education with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree;
  • 0 to 2 years of work experience;
  • Proven experience as a designer in civil engineering projects is a plus but not a must;
  • An affinity with Aviation and Civil engineering;
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D or the ambition to develop into this;
  • Ambition for modelling, digitization, and BIM, you are looking for innovative and new solutions;
  • Great communication skills in English.
