We're seeking a Civil Engineering Lead to own and develop global civil specifications, provide critical technical expertise and optimize cost through strategic partnerships and scale leveraging. Wat we vragen

• Academic degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Solid understanding of both Dutch and European codes of practice and Building Regulations, the affiliated health and safety legislation and FIDIC contracts
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) on greenfield or brownfield CapEx projects, gained in a multinational FMCG or consulting firm
• Project management experience in large CapEx projects
• Safety top of mind, seamless cross-functional collaboration and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and cultures
• You are customer focused and able to act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best results
• You take ownership for your work and are continuously looking for new opportunities to make a change
• You are able and willing to travel abroad (ca. 20%)

As a Civil Engineering Lead, you will:

• Develop, own, and champion technical specifications for civil engineering across for our CapEx projects globally. You will set the standards and drive excellence
• Take ownership of civil scope for large-scale CapEx projects & masterplans globally; you will manage deliverables from initial orientation to final handover, providing critical input for cost estimations and investment decisions
• Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for civils scope in the technical design guidance (TDG) and technical design review (TDR) of CapEx projects
• Support the project team by expertly assessing the work of consultants and contractors, including RFIs, BOQs, earthwork surveys, submittal reviews, and reports.
• Develop and leverage a robust internal and external network (including key suppliers) to deliver fit-for-purpose engineering designs that meet business objectives. Champion knowledge sharing and best practices to optimize total cost of ownership
• Lead the standardization of civils design & develop framework agreements with consultants & contractors, enabling rapid and effective project implementation
