At Orbisk, we are on a mission to create a sustainable future by achieving an ambitious goal: zero food waste. We're looking for individuals who want to join our motivated team, where sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and be part of our collective effort to build a better world. 🌍 To grow our impact as a ‘green’ stain, serving our customers and focusing on innovation is at our core. By embracing a culture of continuous learning, we listen to what our customers need and adapt, improve, and enhance our sustainable solution. We are there to build long-term relationships and be a partner to our customers. Orbisk isn't just about technology; we are a driver for sustainable change, contributing to a positive transformation around the globe. Our hardware has already helped eliminate a whopping 430,000 kg of food waste in over 30 countries, and we’re just getting started! 🌱

Since we are scaling, our team is in need of a Customer Success Manager to help our clients reach their food waste goals through the use of our unique Orbi devices. If you are looking for a role that enables you to actually make a serious positive impact on the planet - walk it like you actually talk it, then keep on reading!

What's on the menu?

On paper, you'll carry the job title of Customer Success Manager. However, in the real world, you get to carry the noble name of Food Waste Coach as well. Why? Because you get to lead our clients towards victory in their efforts to become champions in food waste reduction. How? By engaging with individual locations in the German market (hotels, restaurants, etc.) as a trusted consultant on food waste reduction. Your goal is to help our clients identify where they can improve and implement these changes. They need you to analyze patterns in their food waste, so they can achieve their set goals. Translation: You are the food waste expert that no Head Chef, F&B Manager, or GM can do without. As icing on the cake, you will have the opportunity to engage in discussions within Orbisk on how we can further optimize and continuously enhance our product.

The key ingredients for success

  • A Bachelor's Degree - anything hotel and/or food related.
  • A track record of at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the hospitality, sustainability, tech, or food sector is a must.
  • Fluency in German and English required - an added plus if you speak any other languages.

Why join Orbisk?

For a whole menu of reasons. Some lofty (reducing food waste also reduces our collective CO2 and H2O footprints), others more down-to-earth. After all, joining a scale-up that disrupts an entire industry is also plain fun. And a great conversation starter. Especially if that team is as driven and adventurous as ours. We also offer you:

  • €3000 - €3900 (depending on knowledge and experience)
  • 32-40 hour work week in a hybrid office setting
  • To take a break to recharge, we encourage you to take 30 days of annual leave per year (based on full-time)
  • To ensure you are taken care of later on, we have a pension contribution of 7%
  • Everyone has different needs when it comes to benefits. That’s why we offer you a YourCampus flexible spending budget of €40 per month. This includes access to various health, wellness, and lifestyle providers, for example, Classpass, Hellofresh, Swapfiets, and more!
  • To support your learning and growth, we offer an annual personal education budget of €500. But we also organize additional team learning activities and, if needed, provide access to career coaches
  • An annual home office budget of €250 is offered so you can create a nice work-from-home space, as well as a travel allowance for when you work from home
  • We make sure we regularly organize company activities to connect and have fun with your colleagues

Orbisk is a start-up with a clear mission: to make the global food system more sustainable. The start-up provides complete insights into the food flows of hospitality organizations. Orbisk does this by offering a smart camera and scale that uses image recognition to register which food is thrown away, when, and in what quantity. The customer can view this data in the dashboard, which provides insight into food wastage and can be used to reduce it.
