PlayStation Studios is a collective of studios and teams from different parts of the world that, every day, takes a step toward advancing the nature of entertainment through our games and positive impact on people's lives. We are looking for a Sr. HR Manager to work with senior studio leadership, managers, producers, and employees of PlayStation Studios to build and sustain an innovative, diverse, creative, and highly engaged workforce, reporting into the Director, HR Business Partner EMEA Studios.

What you will do

This role requires proven success in delivering HR strategies and programs that enable and continuously improve business performance. Successful candidates will:

  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with studio, department, and project leadership teams.
  • Partner with senior leaders, studio Works Council, HR peers, and direct reports to develop and implement best practices and programs.
  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs within the studio to develop integrated solutions that drive the studio, PlayStation, and Sony Interactive Entertainment consistently toward best-in-class employment practices.
  • Drive organizational design and strategic mid-range planning for optimal people and business solutions.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to influence key decision-makers through innovation, collaboration, and a data-driven approach.
  • Actively lead and develop HR direct reports
  • Assess, advise, and resolve a variety of situations, including but not limited to interpersonal/communication challenges, and performance issues
  • Proactively identify and analyze data to recognize ER trends and patterns that will assist the studio leadership in their strategic work of creating an inclusive culture through recommended solutions and actions.
  • Provide coaching to managers on best practices related to employee relations topics (e.g. giving effective feedback, documentation, etc.) to drive a high performing culture.
  • Conduct investigations, partnering with Employee Relations colleagues and Legal as appropriate.
  • Consult managers on Employee Survey feedback interpretation and action plan recommendations.
  • Advise on the development, improvement, and implementation of policies and procedures that will help create a more inclusive culture and be the main point of contact for the Works Council
  • Oversee studio onboarding execution and provide experience data to studio departments and locations, to continuously evolve and improve the employee experience from day one.
  • Partner with studio leadership to develop next-generation leaders through effective talent and succession practices.
  • Partner with key business groups such as talent acquisition, compensation, DE&I, talent development, people analytics, and people experience to support business goals.

Who you are

To be considered as a candidate for the role, we expect you to have:

  • 8+ years of previous experience and proven results within HR in a fast-paced, high-tech, entertainment or creative environment
  • 2+ years of HR experience in a gaming environment, preferred
  • Previous experience working with centralized HR support is a plus
  • Experience working with Works Council is a prerequisite
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrable ability to provide authentic feedback to leaders and managers
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to create and develop business relationships with leaders and employees; a people person who enjoys collaborating with others
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectives, multi-task on assignments
  • Passionate and sense of urgency for execution; natural curiosity and willingness to take risks; ability to use creativity to problem solve; ability to look at human resources in new and different ways; desire to make a difference.
  • Dutch language skills and Dutch labor law experience are a plus for this role
