Job Mission

As a Senior GL Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations of The Social Hub Group, which consists of hotels, restaurants, and coworking locations in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Italy & Spain, with future developments in the pipeline. In this role, you’ll work with the GL Team lead to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the financial results while improving the internal control processes for our portfolio. You'll be part of a fun-loving, international team based in Amsterdam and Barcelona, valuing proactiveness, strong stakeholder management, and a problem-solving attitude.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for the completeness, accurate and timely recording and processing of the accounts for multiple entities within "The Social Hub" group.
• Actively participate in the month end closing with responsibility for several entities and act as the first point of contact for the various stakeholders.
• Prepare the monthly accruals and provisions, including payroll-related items.
• Review reconciled revenue streams from source systems to the General Ledger.
• Prepare and/or review reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts including supporting documentation.
• Prepare VAT Returns, including journal entries.
• Prepare reconciliation of the intercompany accounts (incl. loans/interests).
• Prepare intercompany recharges including the invoices.
• Actively participate in the year-end audit process and act as the first point of contact towards the external auditors.
• Participate in ad hoc projects within TSH.

Who You Are

• You have a Bachelor or Master in Accounting or Economics.
• You have 4-8 years working experience in a financial department.
• You are a problem solver with a can-do attitude.
• You have working experience in the finance and accounting department of a large, multinational organization.
• You have an exceptional eye for detail.
• You think process-oriented and are able to come up with improvements on the go.
• You have great English communication skills (Dutch or other language is an advantage).
• You have excellent time management skills.
• You are a Microsoft Office-pro and ideally you know Oracle Netsuite.
