TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Customs Advisor at our location Arnhem who will contribute to this and that might be you?

Your contribution to TenneT

  • In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and legally compliant export and import declarations, including preparing, processing, documenting and monitoring all goods movements (import and export) to and from our offshore platforms in the North Sea
  • You are the technical contact person for customs clearance in the company and communicate confidently in Dutch and English
  • In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating with internal employees, suppliers, and service providers to ensure the necessary documentation for legally compliant customs clearance
  • You are responsible for the timely submission of customs declarations through third-party service providers
  • In addition, we entrust you with the further development of the tax control framework and customs processes in coordination with the team, as well as participation in new projects

Your profile and background

  • HBO educational level or MBO level with relevant working experience
  • You have completed training as a freight forwarder, customs declarant with a focus on import/export and/or coordinator customs and trade compliance or a similar qualification with corresponding specialist training in the field of customs or import/export
  • You have solid professional experience (3 years plus) in the field of import/export, customs clearance and up-to-date expertise in customs law
  • Affinity with VAT is a plus
  • Confident handling of common MS Office applications, ideally also with SAP and customs clearance systems
  • You work independently, in a structured way and are characterized by your proactive way of working, you are also a reliable team player and you have convincing cooperation and communication skills

Financial Governance Services delivers up to standard accounting, administration and governance services. By doing so we maintain an up to date set of financial and non-financial data fit for reporting needs of TenneT. We maintain the financial heart of TenneT by effective and efficient data collection and transaction processing.

Additional information

  • As of 1st of January 2025
  • The weekly working time is 32 to 40 hours
  • Type of contract is indefinite
