Key Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will require experience with:
  • Embedding growth – help the team progress through developmental stages toward becoming a high-performing team.
  • Conflict resolution – Collaborate to identify and facilitate the removal of conflict impacting team flow across teams.
  • Facilitating, communication, and collaboration – Act as the ‘glue’ between product and development teams.
Some other highly desired skills are:
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Strong understanding of Scaled Agile frameworks, ideally using SAFe
  • Familiarity with the Financial Services environment

Purpose of the Role

To manage change projects that help the organization achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Management of change projects within the organization, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.
  • Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.
  • Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.
  • Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
  • Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.
  • Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organization.

Assistant Vice President Expectations

  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organization sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources, such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc.), to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
