Corporate Technology FX Engineering Leader
- Lead the Corporate Technology FX engineering team to deliver new and updated FX functionality to meet business growth objectives.
- Deliver the 3-year Corporate tech roadmap to transform the technology offerings for UK Corporate clients, rolling it out through to EU and US corporate clients.
- Modernise the current FX UI offering and enhance it to support the business in attracting more FX clients.
- Identify and drive delivery of opportunities to leverage back-end IB technology in Corporate Technology.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to identify and prioritize business needs, ensuring that business objectives are translated into actionable technical and functional requirements.
- Mentor and develop a team of technologists and BAs, fostering professional growth, continuous learning, and a high-performance culture.
- Ensure effective stakeholder management by acting as a bridge between business users, product owners, and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize business processes and improve the efficiency of business operations.
- Provide strategic input to senior leadership, advising on business analysis trends, tools, and techniques to support organizational transformation and digital innovation.
Purpose of the Role
To manage change projects that help the organization achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Manage change projects within the organization ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and manage project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.
- Manage project teams, ensuring they are properly resourced and have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
- Create reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage project risks by ensuring risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.
- Facilitate change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organization.

- Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function-wide strategic initiatives.
- Manage, coordinate, and enable resourcing, budgeting, and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
- Escalate breaches of policies/procedure appropriately.
- Foster and guide compliance, ensuring regulations are observed and relevant processes are in place to facilitate adherence.
- Focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to both monitor and influence on behalf of Barclays, when appropriate.

- Maintain a broad and comprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector/functional knowledge and insight into external market developments/initiatives.

- Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area.
- Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
- Act as the principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/business divisions.
- Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division.
