Job Opportunity: Zabbix and Kubernetes Expert

As a Zabbix and Kubernetes expert, you will delve into several environments in between monolithic installations and Kubernetes deployments of Zabbix servers and proxies. Your objective is to provide architectural skills, support, maintenance, and improvement when needed. You will be co-responsible for the upkeep of a number of currently available Zabbix servers and proxies that are used to monitor all the deployments for customers and infrastructure. You will also be co-responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing deployments of Zabbix and its components in bare-metal Kubernetes clusters, where eventually you will need to deploy and manage new clusters as well. You will provide support and attend to requests related to such environments and tasks to support the continuity and implementation of all its components.

• People: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of these tools to our engineers. Your ability to communicate effectively will be essential in fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.

• Process: There is the need for continuous maintenance, version updates, problem resolution, daily requests for particular problems, auditing and compliance. You will need to be scripting, you will need to understand the necessities of monitoring, develop methods to monitor different types of problems and provide solutions to challenges offered by one of the 200 different colleagues along the entire company and at least 2 countries.

• Technology: Zabbix is the main tool here, but you will have contact with an in-house notifications middleware, Grafana, Elasticsearch, MySQL, HAProxy, VMware, lots of scripting, Kubernetes and other tools that could be newly implemented or need to be removed from the structure.

• Task: Day-to-day tasks will include designing, building, and improving next steps of the tools our engineers will use to make their work easier and swiftly available.
