Graduate Naval Ships Project Manager

Location: Portsmouth (Hampshire)

Start Date: 8th September 2025

BAE Systems offers a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. During our Graduate programme, it is typically required to attend the site 3-4 days per week. These arrangements, including which days you are required onsite, will be outlined by your line manager.

We design and build a full range of naval ships, from offshore patrol vessels to giant aircraft carriers. We are the sole provider of complex warships and their combat management systems to the UK Royal Navy's surface fleet. Do you have what it takes to join our team?

What You Will Be Doing

Take responsibility for ensuring we meet customer commitments on time, cost-effectively, and with quality. Tasks could include:

• Controlling budgets and expenditure
• Covering project change governance
• Fulfilling contractual requirements and customer interfacing
• Reviewing performance, analysing risks, and informing decisions for project success
• Managing project progress, identifying issues, and trends

Your work will support both the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and our international customers in receiving the operational capabilities they require.

Skills and Qualifications

As a minimum, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master’s degree in any subject.
