Job Description
The Fulfilment Operations Specialist is responsible for securing operational excellence in fulfillment processes, both in stores, shops, and central units, optimizing for the best performance on the market level, and securing a seamless omnichannel experience for IKEA customers.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for end-to-end fulfillment operations.
- Analyze performance, suggest improvements, and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve deviations or constraints.
- Proactively identify risks & opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to implement action plans for a high-performing organization.
- Drive standardization and automation of fulfilment processes and business rules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within fulfilment operations, identifying areas for efficiency gains, and cost reductions, and implementing process enhancements or innovations.
- Act as a superuser and expert for the tools and IT systems used in Fulfillment Operations and collaborate with IT to address any system-related issues, requirements, or improvements.
- Provide training and support to team members in operational processes, SOP’s, and IT systems and tools to ensure process compliance and efficient utilization of systems and tools.
- Secure a strong communication flow with stakeholders and provide clear and professional guidance on topics and questions related to the daily end-to-end goods flow.
- Ensure data accuracy and system visibility, including defining requirements and providing support for monitoring and reporting processes.
- Stay updated on best practices in fulfillment operations and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or logistics.
- 3+ years of experience in fulfilment- or logistics leader role.
- Fast-paced operations and problem-solving background.
- Demonstrated success in optimizing fulfilment processes.
- Knowledge of Retail and/or Warehousing logistics processes, tools, and working methods.
- Knowledge of End-to-End Fulfillment Operations, related to goods transportation, and delivery from IKEA warehouses & suppliers to IKEA stores and from IKEA units to customer homes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify required business actions.
- Excellent skills in supporting an efficient and cost-effective commercial performance.
