The Role

As the Tender Engineer Asset and Maintenance Management at Damen Naval's Proposals Department, you will be responsible for the conceptual and contract design of the Integrated Asset and Maintenance Support plan for our deal-winning tender packages related to the construction of state-of-the-art naval vessels. Your expertise will be applied in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), working alongside a multidisciplinary tender (project) team, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to create a commercially viable and attractive proposition.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver comprehensive Integrated Asset and Maintenance Support tender packages, including technical documents and contract specifications, in a winning format.
• Contribute to requirements analysis, ensuring clarity and understanding amongst all stakeholders.
• Support RFQ processes and evaluations for preliminary supplier selection and budget allocation.
• Engage in technical and commercial discussions on proposed Asset and Maintenance Support solutions.
• Assist in cost evaluation provided by stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enhance project outcomes.

Skills & Experience

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and qualities:

• At least one year of experience in writing deal-winning tender packages, preferably in complex manufacturing or naval shipbuilding.
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to articulate detailed technical specifications compellingly.
• A commercial mindset to develop viable financial forecasts.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Asset and Maintenance Management or related fields.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with Dutch proficiency being advantageous.
• Willingness to travel abroad occasionally.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport, adhering to project requirements.
