Job Description

We’re looking for a Corporate Affairs Trainee to join us in Schiphol-Rijk, Netherlands, for a period of 6 months. This role reports into the Vice President, Corporate Affairs and works alongside senior management on Regulatory and Public Policy topics; assisting Regulatory, Public Policy, Communications and Corporate Responsibility Teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Preparation of relevant briefing materials for senior management, such as Board presentations, briefing notes for meetings with highest political figures (e.g. World Economic Forum), EU and national regulators, etc.
  • Analyse latest telecommunications regulation and track competition policy developments.
  • Follow European political events and issues.
  • Support the organization and logistics of internal and external events.
  • Proof-reading, editing and writing documents for internal and external distribution.
  • Archiving, updating and maintaining files and electronic project databases for the regulation and public policy function.

We tend to look for people with:

  • A completed Master degree in Law, Economics, European Studies or similar.
  • Ability to work confidently and comfortably with peers and senior-level executives.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
  • An interest in current affairs.
  • Fluency in English - other EU languages would be an advantage.
  • Strong computer skills; excellent command of Microsoft Office programs, PowerPoint in particular.
  • Work experience in a relevant professional environment would be useful but not essential.
