About the Role

As a Digital Fundraising and Supporter Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing digital strategies to boost online donations and enhance supporter engagement. Your work will be crucial in driving donor acquisition, retention, and satisfaction, supporting Greenpeace’s mission to promote environmental sustainability in Romania.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Fundraising:

Plan and execute digital fundraising campaigns across email, social media, websites, and ads.

Enhance donation pages and online giving forms for improved user experience and conversion rates.

Use data analytics to track and report on fundraising performance.

Collaborate with internal and external professionals to create compelling content that drives engagement and donations.

Supporter Engagement and Retention:

Develop personalized communication plans to enhance supporter care and retention.

Handle donor inquiries and feedback through digital channels.

Organize virtual events to engage supporters and showcase the impact of their contributions.

Technology and Data Management:

Manage donor data using CRM systems and segment lists for targeted campaigns.

Implement marketing automation tools for streamlined communication.

Stay updated on the latest digital fundraising tools and technologies.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Collaboration and Capacity Building:

Align digital fundraising efforts with regional and local program plans.

Share best practices with staff and volunteers to support digital fundraising goals.

Contribute to the development of the overall digital fundraising strategy.


Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.

Experience: Experience in digital fundraising or digital marketing, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Skills:

Strong copywriting and content creation abilities.

Basic understanding of SEO, email marketing, social media, and online advertising.

Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot) or a strong willingness to learn quickly.

Excellent communication and customer/supporter-service skills.

Analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable insights.

Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation in fundraising.

Basic knowledge of web design and development is a plus.

Commitment: A strong commitment to Greenpeace’s mission and values.

Preferred Experience

Experience in digital marketing campaigns for NGOs or similar entities.

Familiarity with donor management practices and customer loyalty programs.

Basic online technical skills with a strong motivation to learn.
